The Poster for Sophia Lillis' Movie 'Gretel & Hansel' Already Has Us Scared!

We can’t wait to see Sophia Lillis take on the role of Gretel in an updated take on the classic Grimm fairytale, but we already know we’ll be watching with our hands over our eyes.

A new poster for the upcoming film Gretel & Hansel was just released and we can tell it’s going to be a scary one!

Here is the official synopsis: A long time ago in a distant fairytale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.

Sammy Leakey, Alice Krige, Jessica De Gouw and Charles Babalola are starring alongside Sophia in the film, which will be released in theaters on January 31, 2020.

Osgood Perkins, who has acted in such films as Legally Blonde and Secretary, directed the film.
