Here's Why Billie Eilish Is Glad She Got Famous So Young

Billie Eilish keeps it cool behind the microphone at the SiriusXM studios on Monday (September 30) in New York City.

The 17-year-old “bad guy” singer opened up on The Howard Stern Show about her music and being grateful that she got famous when she was younger instead of when she was older.

“I did for a second, [but] because it happened when I was 13, there’s a part of me that feels like… I didn’t get to be a teenager – like, a normal one,” Billie started to explain. “More and more I get grateful for it happening that young.”

She added, “I feel like if it happened later, people would be able to dig up dirt from when i was that age. If this hadn’t happened at that age, I would’ve been doing some reckless s***.”
