Nick Jonas Almost Went Into a Coma Before Diabetes Diagnosis

Nick Jonas has revealed he almost slipped into a coma!

The 27-year-old musician and actor was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 13 years old, and was so sick he almost went into a deep state of unconsciousness.

“I was very close to a coma,” Nick recalled to Cigar Aficionado. “Like a day away, if I hadn’t gone to the hospital.”

“I kept asking my parents — am I going to be okay?” he added. “I was just so concerned that it was going to limit my ability to do all the things I wanted to do. I was very scared — it’s a big life change.”

“I found out very quickly it’s a very manageable disease,” he continued. “As long as you’re really diligent.”
