Gina Rodriguez Issues Apology For Using Racial Slur While Singing Her Fave Song in Social Media Video

Gina Rodriguez is issuing an apology for a video that was posted to her Instagram.

The video in question sees the former Jane The Virgin star and executive producer singing along to The Fugee‘s “Ready or Not”, which does feature the N-word in the lyrics, while getting her makeup done for filming on a new project.

“Hey, what’s up everybody — I just wanted to reach out and apologize,” Gina shared in an additional IG Story video.

She continues, “I am sorry. I am sorry if I offended anyone by singing along to The Fugees, to a song I love, that I grew up on. I love Lauryn Hill and I really am sorry if I offended you.”
