Disney+ Issues Warning For 'Outdated Cultural Depictions' For Dumbo & Other Old Movies

Disney has been shamed in the past for content in some of their movies from the 60s and older.

Now, with the new streaming service Disney+, many of those movies are on the platform, but come with a warning, EW reports.

Some of the older films include Dumbo, Fantasia, Peter Pan, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, and Lady and The Tramp. In the description for the movies, a warning reads, “This program is presented as originally created. It may contain outdated cultural depictions.”

The new Lady & The Tramp did not include the original’s “Siamese Cat Song,” which has been widely criticized, and Tim Burton‘s Dumbo remake earlier this year also left out an insensitive scene.
