Taylor Swift Needs Her Fans Help Amid Latest Battle with Scooter Braun & Scott Borchetta

Taylor Swift is calling on all Swifties to help her amid her latest battle with music mogul Scooter Braun and Big Machine’s Scott Borchetta, the men who own the master recordings for her first six albums.

You probably remember the feud that Taylor was in with the men over the summer and now it’s continuing because they allegedly won’t let her perform old music at the 2019 American Music Awards, where she’s being honored with the Artist of the Decade Award.

Taylor’s plans to perform a medley of her hits is currently in jeopardy as Scooter and Scott are supposedly using the performance as a means to get her to agree to things she doesn’t want to do.

In the open letter, Taylor also revealed that she has a Netflix documentary in the works and the duo also will not let her use “older music or performance footage for this project, even though there is no mention of either of them or Big Machine Records anywhere in the film.”

If you’re not fully aware of the situation, Taylor launched her career on Big Machine Records and the label owns the master recordings to all of the music featured on her first six albums. She decided to leave the label and release her new album Lover with Republic Records, where she will own her masters moving forward.

Big Machine was then bought by Scooter for $300 million earlier this year, which was Taylor‘s worst nightmare because she has felt bullied by him in the past. Read what she wrote in her open letter back in June about the situation.

Taylor is now asking her fans to let Scooter, Scott, and the other artists they work with (like Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato) “know how you feel about this.”

“I just want to be able to perform MY OWN music. That’s it. I’ve tried to work this out privately through my team but have not been able to resolve anything. Right now my performance at the AMA’s, the Netflix documentary, and any other recorded events I am planning to play until November of 2020 are a question mark. I love you guys and I thought you should know what’s been going on,” she concluded the letter.
