Lana Condor Gives Back With Girls Opportunity Alliance in Vietnam

Lana Condor is currently pinching herself after being able to visit Vietnam with the Obama Foundation this week.

The 22-year-old Vietnamese born actress traveled back to the place of her birth for the special event with Girls Opportunity Alliance, which seeks to empower adolescent girls around the world through education.

“Yesterday, I had the immense honor to speak with some of the bravest girls who have fought to pursue their education against immense odds,” Lana wrote on her Instagram with a group pic and video. “You all are my role models!!! Oh, and here are some of the amazing women I got to go this journey with! (Swipe for happiness) more to come x.”

Lana visited Cần Giuộc High School in Vietnam, where the group – including Julia Roberts and Liza Koshy – spent time with leaders from Room to Read, who support the students to fulfill their potential.

If you don’t know, Lana also started an educational scholarship for Vietmanese girls.
