Billie Eilish Asks Fans to Stop Impersonating Her: 'It's Not Safe'

Billie Eilish wants people to stop impersonating her.

The 17-year-old superstar took to her Instagram to share a photo of a dancer who was wearing one of Billie‘s signature outfits and wigs while walking with a fake security team in public.

The dancer is just one of many YouTubers have jumped on the trend of impersonating Billie, attempting to gain attention from fans while out and about.

“Please stop doing this s**t. It is not safe for you and it is mean to the people who don’t know any better. You make me look bad,” Billie wrote on her story.

The impersonator shared by Billie turned out to be a part of a cheer stunt, which was orchestrated by photographer Jordan Matter, who later apologized.

“I had absolutely no intention of disrespecting Billie. I’m a big fan, like everyone else. I felt it was completely harmless since at no time in the video are we pretending that she is actually Billie. I have reached out directly to Billie and [her mom] Maggie and apologized, and I will not post the video without their permission,” Jordan wrote, along with a photo of the stunt.

Billie has yet to publicly reply to Jordan‘s apology and the video has not yet been posted.
