Megan Stott Earned a Boy Scouts Merit Badge Alongside Her Brothers

You’re about to see a lot more of Megan Stott!

The 16-year-old actress is one of the stars of the new mini-series Little Fires Everywhere, which premieres on Hulu on Wednesday (March 18).

Megan plays Izzy Richardson in the show, the youngest and most rebellious of the Richardson children.

After consistent personality clashes with her mother and steady bullying at school due to her sexuality, she becomes the primary suspect in the burning down of her family home.

Since she’s an up and coming actress, Just Jared Jr thought it would be fun to get to know Megan with some fun facts!

  • I did competition swim, dance and cheerleading for a few years and I think the team approach to all of those sports help me daily. It also gave me a good work ethic!
  • I love hiking and being outdoors and being able to completely immerse myself in nature.
  • I am certified in rappelling and rock climbing. Which is a funny story: My brothers were in boy scouts and they were working on merit badges in those skills over several weeks. I was a girl and wanted to so as well. However, since I wasn’t a boy scout it wasn’t an option. My mom happened to be the leader so she paid and let me do all the skills for my “merit badge” and gave me a beautiful one she had created for me instead. I still got the certification from the establishment. I believe in gender equality and this experience helped foster that.
