Hartley Sawyer Fired From 'The Flash' After Past Tweets Resurface

Hartley Sawyer will no longer be on The Flash.

The 35-year-old actor has been fired from the CW series after a string of past tweets resurfaced, THR reports.

Hartley Sawyer will not be returning for season seven of The Flash,” The CW, producers Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Productions and executive producer Eric Wallace, said in a statement. “In regards to Mr. Sawyer‘s posts on social media, we do not tolerate derogatory remarks that target any race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, or sexual orientation. Such remarks are antithetical to our values and polices, which strive and evolve to promote a safe, inclusive and productive environment for our workforce.”

The tweets resurfaced in the past couple of tweets and many fans and non fans called him out, causing him to delete his Twitter account entirely. He has since issued an apology, posted on his Instagram account. See it here!

Hartley was promoted to series regular on the show back in 2018 ahead of the show’s fifth season.
