Zendaya, Florence Pugh & More Invited To Join The Academy

Zendaya has been asked to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences!

It was recently announced that the Academy had extended invites to 819 members of the global film community, THR reports.

“45 percent went to women, 36 percent to people of color and 49 percent to people based outside of the United States,” THR also said.

“The Academy is delighted to welcome these distinguished fellow travelers in the motion picture arts and sciences,” David Rubin, Academy President, said in a statement. “We have always embraced extraordinary talent that reflects the rich variety of our global film community, and never more so than now.”

Other actors who received invitations include Florence Pugh, Thomasin McKenzie, Kaitlyn Dever, Beanie Feldstein and Eva Longoria.
