Emily Osment To Voice a Demon In New Netflix Animated Series 'Deadendia'

Emily Osment has lined up a new gig!

The 28-year-old actress will star in a new animated series, Deadendia, for Netflix.

“I am so thrilled to finally announce something absolutely wonderful amidst a hellish 2020: DEADENDIA! Huge thanks to @hamishsteele and @netflix for letting me be apart of this demon haunted tale of friendship, coming to your TVs soon!” Emily shared on Instagram. “This is Netflix’s first Animated Series with a Trans Gay Lead and an Autistic Bi Co-Lead, a huge step forward for LGBTQ/neurodiverse representation!! (I am the thousand year old red demon, naturally)”

Deadendia “follows the adventures of Barney, Norma and magical-talking-dog Pugsley, as they balance their summer jobs at the local theme park haunted house while battling the totally real supernatural forces that dwell within it. Together with their guide to the underworld multiplane, a sardonic thousand-year-old demon named Courtney (Osment), they’ll face zombie mascots, demonic game show hosts, sleep-sucking witches and the scariest thing of all: their first crushes!”

One fan commented on her post asking if the new show would be suitable for kids and she assured with a, “definitely!”

The series is based on the graphic novel series of the same name by Hamish Steele.

The show also stars Zach Barack as Barney, Kody Kavitha as Norma, Alex Brightman as Pugsley, Clinton Leupp a.k.a. Miss Coco Peru as Pauline Phoenix, Kenny Tran as Logs and Kathreen Khavari as Badyah.
