Joey King Recalls First Time Meeting Selena Gomez For 'Ramona & Beezus'

Joey King is looking back at one of earlier movies, Ramona and Beezus!

Tomorrow (July 23) is the ten year anniversary since the film came out, and the 20-year-old The Kissing Booth 2 actress is remembering the first time she met her co-star Selena Gomez.

“The first time I met Selena Gomez was for the screen test for Ramona and Beezus,” Joey told Rolling Stone. “I had to read some of the scenes with her from the movie before I got the role. And she was the best! She’s still the best, but she was the best, so sweet, and I was just a gigantic fan of hers.”

“Doing that screen test with her was a dream come true, and afterward, when I found out I got it, I was just so excited to be able to work with her and just be around her because she was the most infectious, sweet person ever,” she added.

Ramona and Beezus is not currently available on any streaming service, but you can rent or buy it on Prime Video or iTunes.
