The Third 'Spider-Man' Movie Has Been Pushed Back

The next Spider-Man movie has been given a new release date once again!

The third installment, starring Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, was originally set to come out in July 2021, but was pushed to November 2021 due to the pandemic.

Now, the film will be released around Christmas-time, on December 17, 2021, Variety reports.

The Marvel/Sony Pictures movie took up the date that was previously taken by the long-awaited Avatar sequel, which was also pushed back by a year.

Fans weren’t sure if another movie would be released as Disney and Sony had decided to split and not work together on another film. Luckily, the two studios finally reached an agreement.

Spider-Man will also appear in future Marvel films.

“I am thrilled that Spidey’s journey in the MCU will continue, and I and all of us at Marvel Studios are very excited that we get to keep working on it. Spider-Man is a powerful icon and hero whose story crosses all ages and audiences around the globe. He also happens to be the only hero with the superpower to cross cinematic universes, so as Sony continues to develop their own Spidey-verse you never know what surprises the future might hold,” Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige previously said.
