Rumor has it that Selena Gomez could be the featured artist on BLACKPINK‘s upcoming new single!

Korean outlet MyDaily sparked the speculation when they reported that the 28-year-old “Rare” singer was the mystery collaborator.

BLACKPINK‘s management, YG Entertainment has released a statement saying, “It is difficult to confirm that BLACKPINK and Selena Gomez will collaborate. Please wait until we officially reveal the featured artist.”

The K-pop group revealed their new single teaser poster just five days, with a mystery guest artist.

Another pop star that is rumored to be the secret collaboration is Ariana Grande!

Ariana‘s friend and frequent collaborator Tommy Brown revealed earlier this summer that he has recently worked on music with both BLACKPINK and Ariana.

“I did a little bit of work with BLACKPINK when I went to Korea. I have music with them that’s really, really incredible. I think the world is going to love them,” he told PopCrave. “And I also have music with Ariana, you’ve seen some of it online, but we have some incredible incredible records with both acts. Right now is the time I’ve been my most creative.”

We’ll have to just wait and see in August when the single is released.
