Sabrina Carpenter Reacts To 'Mean Girls' Closing On Broadway

Sabrina Carpenter is opening up about the recent news that the Mean Girls musical is closing on Broadway.

It was revealed on Thursday (January 7) that the show will not resume performances on the Great White Way when it’s safe to open back up.

Sabrina, who made her Broadway debut in the show, was starring as Cady Heron in the show when it shut down due to the pandemic.

“heartbroken about @meangirlsbway i feel so lucky to have met and witnessed all the talented people involved in this show,” she wrote on Instagram story. “this was a dream of mine and I’m so grateful that i got to perform in what none of us knew would be the last show. thinking of everyone rn and sending lots of love.”

Sabrina had only done two performances, and back in August, said that she would love to return to the show after the pandemic. Check out photos from her opening night here!

In good news, Sabrina recently teased that we’ll be getting some “piece of news” sometime in January.
