Carter Jenkins Joins Cast of Limited Series 'Women of the Movement'

Carter Jenkins is getting to work on his next project!

It was just revealed that the 29-year-old actor has joined the cast of the upcoming limited series Women of the Movement at ABC, according to Deadline.

“Honored to be joining these amazing storytellers on such a purposeful project #WomenOfTheMovement,” he shared on Instagram.

Carter will portray Roy Bryant in the series, which centers on Mamie Till-Mobley (Adrienne Warren), who devoted her life to seeking justice for her son Emmett Till (Cedric Joe) following his brutal killing in the Jim Crow South.

The series is based on the book Emmett Till: The Murder That Shocked the World and Propelled the Civil Rights Movement by Devery S. Anderson.

Roy is part of the Mississippi trio at the center of Emmett Till’s murder, along with is half-brother J. W. Milam and wife Carolyn Bryant, played by Chris Coy and Julia McDermott, respectively.

Filming is set to begin today in Mississippi.
