Dakota Fanning has a brand new role!

The 27-year-old The Alienist actress is joining the cast of the upcoming anthology series The First Lady as a series regular, Variety reports.

Dakota will star as Susan Ford, the daughter of Gerald and Betty Ford. Her on screen parents will be played by Michelle Pfeiffer and Aaron Eckhart.

According to Variety, “Susan was a teenager during her father’s time in the White House and is said to have often introduced progressive ideas to her family.”

This will reunite Dakota and Michelle for the first time in 20 years, as they both starred in the film I Am Sam, which was released in 2001.

The new series has built up quite the cast. Back in January, it was revealed that Kristine Froseth and Jayme Lawson also joined the show.
