Elle Fanning Cast In Movie About Making 'The Godfather'

Elle Fanning is one busy movie and TV star!

The 22-year-old actress has now joined the cast of the upcoming movie Francis and The Godfather, Variety reports.

Elle will portray “Ali MacGraw, who was married to Robert Evans, Paramount’s head of production. Shortly after winning a Golden Globe for promising newcomer, MacGraw starred in Paramount’s blockbuster Love Story, a role that earned her Oscar and Golden Globe nominations. She later met Steve McQueen on the set of The Getaway, where they fell in love and eventually got married.”

Jake Gyllenhaal has been cast as Robert Evans, as well as Oscar Isaac as Francis Ford Coppola and Elisabeth Moss as Eleanor Coppola.

Barry Levinson is directing Francis and The Godfather, which depicts the behind-the-scenes of the making of the classic film The Godfather, which is considered one of the greatest movies of all time. Filming will begin this fall.

Elle is one of the most exciting and versatile actresses out there,” Barry shared in a statement. “I am beyond thrilled that she has joined the terrific cast of Francis & The Godfather and will bring her unique talent to the film.”

Elle is currently in the UK while filming the upcoming second season of her Hulu series The Great. She also just recently launched a production company with her sister Dakota!
