It’s hard to believe that Cameron Boyce has been gone a full month.

His passing shaped and changed a lot of us, but none more than his Descendants family. Now, the cast is staying even more in touch than they did before.

Dove Cameron explained to E’s Daily Pop, “[Booboo Stewart's] always like, ‘I am going to go brush my horses—do you want to come over for game night?’ That’s what we’ve been working on all together as a family is really staying in touch with each other and Booboo said, he was like, ‘I want to go out of my way to see you because I don’t want to miss you.’”

Dove continues, “I think that that’s kind of how we’re all feeling is we want to—we want to make an effort. It really reminds you how important everybody is, how important your one life is.”

She also opened up about how the loss of Cameron emphasizes the importance of intentionally spending time with loved ones.

“I think that that’s become very important to all of us if it wasn’t obviously before,” Dove says. “It’s been really rough, but we’re all finding solace in each other and that’s become really beautiful for us.”

Booboo Stewart has pretty much kept mum since Cameron Boyce‘s unexpected passing last month, but in a new interview with Good Morning America, he’s opening up about his time spent with Cameron.

Sitting next to Dove Cameron and Kenny Ortega as they promoted Descendants 3, the three reminisced on Cameron and the light he brought to all their lives.

“That’s so hard, cause he’s such a wonderful … he was just Cameron. Like, literally just Cameron,” Booboo shared in the sit down interview. “He was the person you’d always ask for … if you needed to talk to somebody…He was always there and he was that person for everybody.”

Booboo continued that for him, Cameron‘s death was “the first time I ever dealt with anything like this and something that, you might have said it, someone said it, but they said — just to be okay with any thought that, that you have. It’s fine. Like, cause when you’re grieving, like, you think things that … I’ve thought things I’ve never thought before.”

He also recalled that the last time he saw Cameron was at the 2019 Ardys.

“We were just planning to hang out and, like, make videos and we just liked creating stuff together.”

We are so excited that Descendants 3 is finally just a few days away!

Leading up to the premiere, Disney Channel has been releasing behind the scenes clips and the latest one talks about the characters’ evolution, including their love lives.

We hear from the Core Four, Dove Cameron, Sofia Carson, Cameron Boyce and Booboo Stewart, as well as director Kenny Ortega.

In the clip, we also get a glimpse at Ben’s (Mitchell Hope) proposal to Mal – yes PROPOSAL!

“You get so invested, you fall in love with these people, and you feel like you live in this world with them,” Dove says. “You as an audience member want to be let in on the rest of it, and I feel like the third one is really a big step into the rest of it.”

The Descendants cast is feuding with the cast of American Housewife!

The two groups of co-stars will be going head-to-head on tonight’s (July 28) episode of Celebrity Family Feud!

The Descendants crew – Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Sofia Carson, Cheyenne Jackson and Kenny Ortega – will face off with American Housewife‘s Meg Donnelly, Peyton Meyer, Daniel DiMaggio, Diedrich Bader and Katy Mixon.

Each celebrity team will be playing for a chance to win big money for the charity of their choice.

The cast of Descendants 3 are taking us behind-the-scenes of their rehearsals!

The entire crew, including Dove Cameron, the late Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart, showed what the first few days of prep for the film was like.

They were also joined by other co-stars like China Anne McClain, Ben Mitchell, Thomas Doherty, Sarah Jeffery and Brenna D’Amico.

“I am ridiculously excited to be back. It’s a big family. A big clubhouse of kids,” Dove said in the video.

Cameron added, “D3 is something I’ve always hoped would happen and now that we’re here, it just feels right.”

Descendants 3 premieres THIS Friday, August 2nd @ 8PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.

Dove Cameron is extremely proud of Kenny Ortega!

The 23-year-old actress paid tribute to the Descendants director in a series of Instagram posts in honor of his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Thursday (July 25).

“Such an unbelievable honor and deep pleasure to be present on a day like this. so long overdue. so well deserved. with my favorite guy and so many people that i love. my heart overflows ⭐️,” Dove in her first post from the ceremony.

In a second post, with a photo of her looking lovingly at Kenny, Dove wrote, “I love you @kennyortegablog. i’d say you’re a legend, and you’re my teacher, and one of my main inspirations in my life, but you already know all of that. congratulations for this massive recognition. you are my shooting star 💫.”

Dove even shared a short video clip of her and her Descendants co-star Booboo Stewart at the ceremony.

Kenny Ortega is surrounded by stars of Descendants, Hocus Pocus and High School Musical during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on Wednesday afternoon (July 24) in Hollywood.

The choreographer and director got support at his ceremony from Descendants stars Dove Cameron, Mitchell Hope, Booboo Stewart, Zachary Gibson and Kathy Najimy as well as HSM‘s Monique Coleman at the ceremony. Descendants costume designer Kara Saun was also in attendance.

Cameron Boyce‘s father, Victor and sister Maya, were also in attendance at the event.

“Sitting here today with us is my buddy — Cameron Boyce’s dad, Victor — and his sister, Maya. Cameron Boyce was so excited for me and wanted to be here…” Kenny shared in his speech at the ceremony. “His all too brief appearance in this life inspired me beyond words [as well as] many of us here and generations of kids and families all over this world. His extraordinary talent and loving heart will be remembered through his foundation.”

He added, “Cameron said, ‘We can’t take it with us, so it’s about what you leave,’ and with this, I promise Cameron that I will carry this goodness with me in all the days of my life.”
