Olivia Holt is opening up in a new interview with Town & Country magazine, revealing what she loves most about playing Tandy on Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger.
“I look at my character and see so many layers, that’s what makes her interesting—and you don’t see people like her on TV all the time,” the 21-year-old actress shared with the glossy.
Olivia continued, “Putting aside the superhero side of her, she’s a resilient, drive, complicated bad-ass, and I admire that so much. There are lots of other dimensions to her—the emotions are so raw— but those are the reasons people connect to her. People feel for her, and so do I, that’s why I love playing her.”
Olivia also talked about how she takes a break between filming seasons of the show and turns her focus to music.
“I always need some sort of break to decompress, especially after a show like this which can be exhausting physically and emotionally,” she says. “But I like to keep busy. Right now, I’m focusing on music and putting acting on the side for a bit.”
Olivia adds, “I’ve been away for months filming, putting my energy into that work, so now I want to put the same focus into music and not rush it.”
The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. actress and the Cloak & Dagger stars stepped out for the event held at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Monday (April 22) in Los Angeles.

The 21-year-old Marvel’s Cloak & Dagger star swung by Neutrogena‘s Hydro Boost Haus in Palm Springs, Calif., earlier in the week, rocking two cute summer looks.
In a recent interview, Olivia revealed that she’s looking to do a new project with all her friends next.
“I would love to do a project with all of my female friends and create something from scratch and have some female driven story with the women in my life who are so strong, confident, and beautiful inside and out,” she told Bello mag.
“They are complicated but ambitious and driven on so many levels of life and to be able to experience that with them would definitely be a dream.”
“You start to see that their relationship is thriving, but they are keeping a couple dark secrets from each other,” Olivia teased about Tandy and Tyrone’s relationship in the new season.
