The 2011 MTV VMAs will turn into the Arena when Jennifer Lawrence will show up to present the first-ever clip for The Hunger Games.

The 21-year-old star of the upcoming franchise films will debut the first clip from the movie, due out March 2012.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world in the country of Panem where North America once existed, THE HUNGER GAMES follows the quest of “Tributes” – one teenage boy and girl chosen from each of the country’s twelve districts – as they compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains.

Selena Gomez will also host the MTV VMA’s preshow!

The 2011 MTV VMAs air Sunday, August 28 @ 9PM on MTV.
