Missy Franklin: 'I'm Proud of My Size 13 Feet'

Missy Franklin: 'I'm Proud of My Size 13 Feet'

Missy Franklin shows off her many medals on The Today Show on Monday morning (August 6) from London.

The 17-year-old Olympic swimmer dished on the intimidation she felt going into the games.

“Before I was definitely a little intimidated, especially since it’s my first Olympics. My first world championships last year, I only had two individual events and that was a little bit easier going into it, knowing that I had that time in between. Then coming here, I was definitely nervous thinking about how many times I had to swim. Once I got here and got around my team mates, I realized they were going to help me get through the whole thing and that’s what they did,” she shared.

Missy also commented on the attention her feet are getting, saying, “I’m proud of my size 13 feet. They’re definitely hard to find shoes for — which isn’t the best and I hate going shoe shopping. Everything is so cute and nothing ever fits (laughs).”

Catch her full interview at NBCOlympics.com.

Missy is also pictured at the USA House at the Royal College of Art over the weekend.
