She continued, “My whole thing, to be honest, is I never wanted to do big films. I’ve been acting for 16 years, and it was never something that I wanted to do, to be in a big blockbuster film, especially one that was similar to Hunger Games or Twilight. You know, one that had a huge pre-existing fan base and one that would carry on for multiple years.”

The 20-year-old British beauty stars as the title character in the film with Jessica Biel.
The film follows Emanuel, a troubled teenage girl who becomes obsessed with a next-door neighbor (Biel) who has just moved into town and bears a strong resemblance to Emanuel’s deceased mother. The two get to know each other better, with Emanuel babysitting the neighbor’s newborn daughter, and they soon develop a close bond with each other.
“Excited, scared, excited, shi***** myself, scared scared scared…” Kaya tweeted about her first time at the annual festival.
