Mirai Nagasu has all eyes on her during the Ladie’s Short Program at at the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Thursday night (January 22) in Greensboro, N.C.
The 21-year-old figure skater placed 4th with 65.28, just .76 behind Polina Edmunds, who placed third.
Courtney Hicks took fifth place with 65.01, fan favorite Samantha Cesario earned 59.21 and placed 11th while Ashley Cain was in 14th place with 54.35.
Don’t forget to tune into the Ladie’s Free Skate on Sunday. Can’t wait to see who takes the top spot!

Haven Denney and Brandon Frazier kick the competition off during the pairs short program at the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Thursday afternoon (January 22) in Greensboro, N.C.
The team, who placed second, skated alongside Alexa Scimeca and Christopher Knierim (currently in first), Marissa Castelli and Mervin Tran (third), Tarah Kayne and Danny O’Shea (fourth), and Gretchen Donlan and Nathan Bartholomay (fifth).
The pairs free skate will take place on Saturday, January 24th. Can’t wait to see who wins the pairs title!

Gracie Gold wows the crowd once again during the Ladie’s Short Program at at the 2015 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships held at Greensboro Coliseum on Thursday night (January 22) in Greensboro, N.C.
The 19-year-old Olympian came in second to Ashley Wagner with 67.02.
“It wasn’t the best short program that I have ever performed, but it was still a very strong performance,” Gracie shared.
She added, “However, it’s just the short program. I’m looking to come back strong.”
Can’t wait to see her free skate on Sunday!

“I was able to go out and try a newer, technically demanding program and, for the most part, put out a solid performance,” the 23-year-old skater shared with press after her program.
Ashley added, “This is a great stepping stone.”

Congrats to Gracie Gold!
The 19-year-old figure skater has been named the 2014 Sportswoman of the Year by the Los Angeles Sports Council!
“So honored to be named the 2014 Sportswoman of the Year. Huge thank you to the LA Sports Council!” Gracie wrote on Twitter earlier in the month, just ahead of the 2015 U.S. National Figure Skating Championships this weekend.
Gracie will be honored at an award show later this March during the L.A. Sports Awards.
Congrats again Gracie! Can’t wait for this weekend’s competition!
