Grace VanderWaal just performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time and it’s such a cool moment as she was once a spectator at the event!
The 12-year-old America’s Got Talent winner posted to Instagram about how she was in the crowd at the parade five years ago.
“Happy Thanksgiving everyone I’m so thankful for everyone’s support!!! 5 years ago when I was 7 I watched the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade from the stands I would never think that today I would be in it. So, eat until you can’t eat anymore and be thankful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Grace wrote on Instagram with the below photo!
Other performers in the event included Daya and Maddie & Tae.
Laurie Hernandez and Kelsea Ballerini were among the stars who braved the chilly weather to appear in the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade!
The ladies were bundled up while posing for photos along the parade route on Thursday morning (November 24) in New York City.
Laurie appeared on the Spirit of America float alongside other Olympic athletes. Kelsea gave a performance of her song “Peter Pan” during the event!
The night before, Kelsea joined her friend Taylor Swift for a night out on Broadway to see the musical Kinky Boots. “Absolutely amazed and inspired by @kinkybootsbway,” Kelsea captioned the below Instagram pics with Taylor.
FYI: Kelsea is wearing a Kate Spade New York coat, gloves, earmuffs, and scarf with Stuart Weitzman boots, a Wolford bodysuit and rights, a custom sequin jacket and skirt, and Drukker Designs jewelry.
We don’t know about you, but JJJ has a tradition of watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on Thanksgiving Day and we don’t intend to miss this year’s!
There are so many great performers and super cool new floats, and can we talk about the marching bands?
We love watching all the bands from all over the country come together to play in the streets of New York City!
The parade will be airing live on NBC starting at 9AM ET/PT on Thursday, November 24th.
