The “Sway” musician was joined on the red carpet by vocal duo Maddie & Tae, who are nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year at the show tonight.

The 24-year-old entertainer just revealed that the duo will be taking the stage at this year’s CMA Awards!
“It is unbelievable to perform at the Country Music Awards which I’m really excited about – our first performance of that song. So it’s an exciting time for that song,” Niall announced.
He added, “It will be nerve wracking for me and imagine that it’s literally me and Pink I think are the only two that are coming in from our world; but it should be fun I am looking forward to it. I am going to have to relish it because if I have to dwell on it I will be very sheepish about it.”
Taylor Swift is a CMA Awards nominee for the first time in three years!
The 27-year-old singer just landed a Song of the Year nomination for writing the song “Better Man” for the country music group Little Big Town.
The last time Taylor received a nomination from the country music awards show was back in 2014, when she was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year.
Some of the other major nominees this year include Kelsea Ballerini for Female Vocalist of the Year, Maddie & Tae for Vocal Duo of the Year, and Lauren Alaina for New Artist of the Year.
