“[The video] captures the story of how it all began, the twists and turns in between, and where we are today,” the group wrote on their Instagram.
The feature includes clips of the bands through the years and references some of their most pivotal moments including their tour with One Direction, their first album and their AMA win. The guys even recruited young actors to portray themselves in their early years!
“‘Old Me’ carries a youthful spirit and follows the narrative of a young persons life growing up, for better or for worse,” Luke explained in a statement.
He continued, “Every decision we made, whether right or wrong, has led us to the men we are proud to be today. We were thrown into the public eye at a young age and gratefully had each other at a confusing time. Sometimes it’s important we look back in order to appreciate the journey we’ve been on together.”

While wedding planning is underway, Michael says they won’t walk down the aisle until next year.
“We’re going to do it early next year, probably in January,” Michael said on Nova 96.9 Fitzy & Wippa.
As for entertainment, the duo were thinking of some former tour mates!
“We did tour with The Chainsmokers so we were thinking of asking them to come and DJ, that would be sick – hopefully they don’t charge their usual fee cause that would quadruple the budget of the whole wedding!” Michael joked.
“Thank you for having us at The Australian Fire Fight concert! It will go down as one of my favorite memories of @5sos’s career 🖤,” Ashton wrote on Instagram with a shirtless pic from the concert.
Michael recently opened up about why he hasn’t been so active on Instagram. Find out why he’s barely been on the social media platform lately!
The 5 Seconds of Summer guitarist took to Instagram on Friday (February 14) to let fans know why he hadn’t been posting much lately.
“If you’re wondering why I’m so inactive – here’s your reason,” Michael captioned the slideshow below, featuring tons of cute photos of himself cuddling with his dog Moosemoose. Seriously, they’re adorable.
“I think we planted a lot of lyrical seeds for directions we could potentially go in. With this album, it’s a gateway into us exploring different lyricism,” Ashton told Zane Lowe on Apple Music’s Beats 1.
He continued, “Yeah, [it's like a new era]. We have no idea what will happen. That’s why the album name is bold, it’s Calm, it’s the four of us. It’s the beginning and the end of the younger version of us.”
