After weeks of speculation that Shailene Woodley is engaged to be married, she is finally speaking out to confirm the news is true!
The 29-year-old actress told Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (February 22) that she’s indeed getting married to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“I’ve been reading that too, which is kind of funny… yes, we are engaged. But for us, it’s not new news. Everybody right now is freaking out over it, but we’re like, ‘Oh, we’ve been engaged for a while,’” Shailene said on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. “Yeah, we got engaged a while ago and he’s first off a wonderful, incredible human being. But I never thought I’d be engaged with somebody who threw balls for a living. Like, I never thought as a little girl, I was like, ‘Yeah, when I grow up, I’m gonna marry someone who throws balls! Yeah!’ But he’s really just so good at it.”

Earlier this week, it was reported that the 29-year-old The Fault In Our Stars actress was dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
On Saturday night (February 6), the 37-year-old football player was honored with the MVP Award during the 2021 NFL Honors virtual ceremony.
During his acceptance speech, Aaron casually revealed that he got engaged, meaning that Shailene would be his new fiancee!
“Thank you so much, it’s honor to win this award for the third time,” Aaron says in the video. “2020 was definitely a crazy year filled with lots of change, growth, and some amazing memorable moments.”
“180 straight days of getting my nose hairs scraped, playing for very little fans or no fans in the stands the entire season,” Aaron continued. “I got engaged and I played some of the best football of my career.”
At the end of his acceptance speech, Aaron thanked his team and his “fiancee.”
