JoJo Siwa has taken to her Instagram to stick up for Abby Lee Miller and ask for thoughts and prayers for the dance coach.

The 14-year-old dancer and singer’s mentor recently underwent emergency surgery and is not in the best health at the moment.

“PLEASE KEEP ABBY IN YOUR PRAYERS It makes me really sad to say this, she is sick, she is not good, but she is strong,” JoJo wrote. “I told her yesterday that she is the strongest person I know and that she can get through anything! Abby has taught me so much, Little things like table manners, to big things like how to walk into a meeting.”

“I am so thankful for the 5 years that I have gotten to spend with her. Some people only know her as ‘The Lady on tv who is mean’ that’s not the case. She is caring, loving, hard working, fun, funny, a great teacher, and a great friend. Please keep her in your prayers.#BelievingInAbby X JoJo,” she added.

Dance Moms star Nia Sioux‘s days of working with famed coach Abby Lee Miller may be over, but she will never forget the experience.

“Whenever I meet a fan they always ask me, ‘Is Abby really that mean?’ And usually what I say is: ‘What you see is what you get,’” Nia revealed to J-14.

“But also they don’t even show everything that happens on the show,” she continued. “So, I mean, other people might say differently but from my point of view, it’s much worse off camera. Nothing changes. That’s just her personality.”

She definitely isn’t alone in her mixed memories from the show. Chloe Lukasiak has opened up about how the show gave her a thick backbone, while Kendall Vertes admits that Abby Lee has “done a lot” for her dancing.
