Adelaide Kane dons two different looks for the 2013 CW Upfront Presentation held at The London Hotel in New York City on Thursday morning (May 16).

The 22-year-old actress took the stage as Mary, Queen of Scots at the presentation.

Reign, which will air after The Vampire Diaries on Thursdays this fall, follows Mary, Queen of Scots (Kane) who has been the Queen since she was six days old. The teenage Mary is already a headstrong monarchm beautiful, passionate, and poised at the very beginning of her tumultuous rise to power. Arriving in France with four close friends as her ladies-in-waiting, Mary has been sent to secure Scotland’s strategic alliance by formalizing her arranged engagement to the French king’s dashing son, Prince Francis (Toby Regbo).

But the match isn’t signed and sealed, it depends more on politics, religion and secret agendas than affairs of the heart. While at French Court, fierce foes and dark forces conspire to sabotage Mary’s marriage to Francis and even threaten her life, until a mysterious shrouded guide becomes her ally. With danger and sexual intrigue around every dark castle corner, Mary rallies her ladies-in-waiting and steels herself, ready to rule the new land and balance the demands of her country and her heart.

Get ready for some new shows on the CW!

Deadline reports that the network has green-lit The 100, Star-Crossed (formerly Oxygen), Reign and The Tomorrow People.

The Tomorrow People revolves around several young people (Robbie Amell, among others) from around the world who represent the next stage in human evolution, possessing special powers, including the ability to teleport and communicate with each other telepathically. Together they work to defeat the forces of evil.

The 100 is set 97 years after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization. It revolves around 100 juvenile delinquents (Thomas McDonell, Eliza Taylor) sent back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet.

Star-Crossed centers on Emery (Aimee Teegarden), a teen girl who falls in love with an alien boy, one of nine of his kind integrated into a suburban high school.

Toby Regbo follows Adelaide Kane onto the Reign set at Christ Church in Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday afternoon (April 9).

The 21-year-old actor plays Prince Francis in the CW pilot, who is thoughtful and very nervous about inheriting his throne. He doesn’t know if an arranged marriage is what is best for him, and is having an affair.

“I’m dressed like the medieval matrix,” Toby wrote on Twitter.

Director Brad Silberling has also been posting behind-the-scenes pics from filming and include Anna Popplewell, Caitlin Stasey, Celina Sinden and Jenessa Grant — all the ladies in waiting.

Adelaide Kane and Anna Popplewell head into Christ Church in Dublin, Ireland on Monday afternoon (April 8).

Along with Caitlin Stasey, the trio of actresses started to film the CW pilot, Reign, with their other cast mates.

Adelaide Kane has been cast in the lead role of the upcoming CW pilot Reign.

According to Deadline, the 22-year-old Australian actress will play Mary Queen of Scots as the show chronicles her rise to power in the French court.

The pilot will be directed by Brad Silberling (NYPD Blue, Casper) with a script written by Stephanie Sengupta (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) and Laurie McCarthy (Beverly Hills: 90210, Felicity).

Adelaide is also set to appear seen in the upcoming season of Teen Wolf.
