'After We Collided' Heading To Netflix In December!

Both After movies will soon be streaming on Netflix!

It was recently revealed that the second film in the franchise, After We Collided, will be available on the streaming platform in December.

The sequel stars Josephine Langford, Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, Dylan Sprouse, Candice King, Shane Paul McGhie, Inanna Sarkis, Samuel Larsen and more.

Here’s a synopsis: Hardin will always be… Hardin. But is he really the deep, thoughtful guy Tessa fell madly in love with— or has he been a stranger all along? She wishes she could walk away. It’s just not that easy. Not with the memory of the passionate nights they spent together.

Still, Tessa’s not sure she can endure one more broken promise. She’s focused on her studies and just starting an exciting new internship at Vance Publishing. She’s also being pursued by Trevor, a handsome new co-worker who is exactly the kind of guy she should be with.

Hardin knows he made a mistake, possibly the biggest one of his life. He wants to right his wrongs and overcome his demons. He’s not going to lose Tessa without a fight. But can he change? Will he change… for love? AFTER WE COLLIDED… Life will never be the same.

After We Collided will land on Netflix on December 22nd.

'After We Collided' Director Opens Up About Choosing Trevor Over Zed For Love Triangle

'After We Collided' Director Opens Up About Choosing Trevor Over Zed For Love Triangle

If you didn’t know, After We Collided was supposed to have two love triangles!

In the book by Anna Todd, there was a love triangle between Tessa, Hardin and Trevor, and another one between Tessa Hardin and Zed.

For the sequel, the director, Roger Kumble, chose to only have one due to a limited amount of time in the movie.

“The initial conversations with Trevor were more like going back to the book and knowing that she had two different love triangles going on in the second book. She had Trevor and she had Zed,” he told ET. “I said to Anna, ‘I can’t do both in a 95-minute film. It’ll short-trip everybody. I think we should pick Trevor because he was opposite of Hardin.’ And she agreed with that.”

“When you don’t have a lot of screen time to devote to this, he better be charming right off the gate. And that’s where I was leaning into some of those rom-com moments because it pushes the story along a lot quicker. And it’s fun to watch,” Roger continued. “In terms of why we didn’t continue that story through, that’s more trying to stay true to the other books. Knowing that Trevor character isn’t really a pivotal character in future books, it’s like, well, we should close this out.”

Hero Fiennes-Tiffin Talks Hardin & Tessa's Toxic Relationship In The 'After' Movies

Hero Fiennes-Tiffin Talks Hardin & Tessa's Toxic Relationship In The 'After' Movies

It’s here! After We Collided is OUT NOW in the US and many other parts of the world!

Hero Fiennes-Tiffin recently opened up about the main characters’ toxic relationship and people criticizing it.

“People criticize it for advocating, like, a toxic relationship, and we need to stress that this is entertainment,” Hero told EW. “It’s not a rulebook for people to follow and take into their lives. But I think it is super entertaining to watch people try and get through that because Hardin and Tessa don’t want it to be toxic, they’re trying to fight through it, and it is for whatever reason.”

“A lot of the time, other scripts may have shied away from that because of the scrutiny that you may get for people saying you’re promoting a toxic relationship,” he added. “It’s the realness behind the fact that this is the case sometimes, unfortunately, and hopefully you can make it work and if it’s not good, it shouldn’t be. It’s super complex topic but that’s what is so interesting about it.”

“Ultimately you want to find out if they can make it work and if they do, how they do, and if they don’t, why it didn’t work,” Hero shared.

Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin are opening up about their new movie After We Collided!

The sequel is hitting US theaters and digital THIS Friday (October 23).

In a new interview, the stars of the franchise opened up about the intimate scenes in the movie, which bumped it’s rating up from PG-13 to an R rating.

“I mean I don’t think it was ever tough. It’s a job. We’re professionals, you know what you signed up for. You turn up and do your job,” Hero told TooFab. “But, 100 percent, this goes for all scenes, I think when you get to know the whole crew, and the whole cast, and we worked together before every scene becomes easier because you don’t have to break that ice anymore.”

“I think you always find something new that’s nerve-racking, or at least me personally,” Josephine added. “You always find something new to be scared of even if it’s like, ‘Oh I’ve done this before… but I’ve done this before, so can I do this differently?’”

'After' Movies 3 & 4 Announce New Cast Members For Upcoming Films

'After' Movies 3 & 4 Announce New Cast Members For Upcoming Films

The After movies’ production team just announced some cast shakeups!

Fans had already figured out that a handful of characters were being replaced, and now we have all the official information.

Chance Perdomo has joined the cast as Landon, who was previously played by Shane Paul McGhie. See Shane‘s note to fans about leaving the series.

Carter Jenkins will also join the cast of After We Fell and After Ever Happy in the role of Robert, a potential love interest for Tessa.

Other cast shakeups include Stephen Moyer taking on Charlie Weber‘s role of Christian Vance and Mira Sorvino is replacing Selma Blair as Carol.

Another new addition is Arielle Kebbel, taking over as Kimberly from Candice King, who is pregnant with her second baby.

The changes in the cast are due to them filming in “Eastern Europe because the COVID numbers are far lower than where we shot movies 1 & 2 and this safeguards our cast. We are also shooting the films back to back, which means some of the original cast were not available to return for various reasons, whether it be scheduling or other commitments.”

'After' Star Shane Paul McGhie Announces Exit From Film Franchise

Shane Paul McGhie will no longer be starring as Landon in the After movies.

The 26-year-old actor was rumored to have been fired from the third and fourth films, but he’s setting the record straight.

“It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing I will not be filming in Bulgaria,” Shane wrote in an Instagram story. “We could not come to an agreement and I had to make a really tough call. I had to stand up for me, the way that Landon would.”

“I am so grateful to you all for welcoming me into the After family and for supporting me along this incredible journey,” he continued. “I have felt your love from around the world and that has been the biggest blessing and honor. I have seen how, for a lot of you, After has changed your lives and been a light during dark times.”

Shane also thanked the book’s writer Anna Todd, as well as other producers.

“I am forever grateful to you. Thank you for trusting me with this character and for fighting for me,” he said. “The sacrifices I have seen you three make for the happiness of the fandom has been inspiring. And, although, you don’t always get the credit you deserve, you did things for the right reasons and ‘karma will work in your favor.’”

“Please welcome the actor who replaces me and treat him with the respect and love you’ve been giving me since the first day I was first brought on,” Shane told the fans.

The next two movies, After We Fell and After Ever Happy, are currently filming in Bulgaria with stars Josephine Langford and Hero Fiennes-Tiffin, with new director Castille Landon. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina actor Chance Perdomo is rumored to be taking over the role from Shane.
