The 25-year-old actor will play Prince Maxon in the CW pilot based on Kiera Cass’ upcoming novel, “The Selection.”

The drama series is an epic romance set 300 years in the future which centers on a poor young woman, America Singer (Teegarden) who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads.

The book will hit shelves on April 24th from HarperTeen.

The 22-year-old actress has signed on the dotted line to star in a television series based on the upcoming book by Kiera Cass, “The Selection,” TVLine reports.

The drama series is an epic romance set 300 years in the future which centers on a poor young woman, America Singer (Teegarden) who is chosen by lottery to participate in a competition to become the next queen of a war-torn nation at a crossroads.

The book will hit shelves on April 24th from HarperTeen.

As for the pilot, The Vampire Diaries‘ Elizabeth Craft and Sarah Fain are set to write and produce.

The 22-year-old actress plays Abby in the thrilling movie, which follows a group of friends who after watching their best friend get murdered, struggle to expose a local hero (Dennis Quaid) as the vicious killer and keep from becoming his next victims.

After the premiere, Aimee and her cast mates headed over to the House of Blues to watch Dennis perform with Billy Gibbons (of ZZ Top) and Bruce Kulick (of KISS) at the official after party.
