Grace VanderWaal and Judy Greer snap a cute photo together while attending the premiere of their upcoming movie Hollywood Stargirl held at El Capitan Theatre on Monday (May 23) in Hollywood.
The ladies were joined at the premiere by their co-stars Tyrel Jackson Williams, Elijah Richardson, Chris Williams, Judd Hirsch, Al Madrigal and Nija Okoro.
Also in attendance were the movie’s writers Jordan Horowitz and Julia Hart, who also directed.
In Hollywood Stargirl, when her mother Ana (Greer) is hired as the costume designer on a movie, they relocate to L.A., where Stargirl quickly becomes involved with an eclectic assortment of characters. They include aspiring filmmaking brothers Evan (Richardson) and Terrell (Williams); Mr. Mitchell (Hirsch), one of Stargirl’s neighbors; and Roxanne Martell (Uma Thurman), a musician Stargirl admires and encounters on her journey.
The new movie, which also features the original song “Figure It Out” by Grace, will be out on June 3rd on Disney+. Check out the trailer here!

Grace VanderWaal is back as Stargirl in the upcoming Disney+ sequel!
The singer reprises her role as the title character in the new movie, which will be titled Hollywood Stargirl.
In addition to her starring role, Grace also performs an original song, “Figure It Out,” which she wrote for the movie.

Sarayu Blue is jumping from Netflix to Disney+!
The To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before actress is set to join the cast of the upcoming Stargirl sequel, Deadline confirms.
Sarayu will play Alex, an up-and-coming film producer, along with three other new additions, Al Madrigal (center photo) as Iggy, the MC at a local music club; Chris Williams (right photo) and Nija Okoro as George and Daphne, the parents of Evan and Terrell, who “rent an apartment to Stargirl and welcome her into their family.”
The sequel will follow Stargirl’s journey out of Mica and into a bigger world of music, dreams and possibility.
