I’m really lucky that I got to work with people who I got along with so well. Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief has been out on DVD and Bluray for over a month — did you get your copy?
JJJ recently chatted with starlet Alexandra Daddario about her role as Annabeth, kissing costar Logan Lerman and what she’s up to next. Check it:
On smooching with Logan: “Oh it [the kiss] was fine. This was sort of towards the end of filming so we were all such good friends at that point that I didn’t even think about it. Movie kisses are different that real kisses. It’s hard to believe but when you’re acting you don’t even…I don’t know how to explain it but you know we shot two endings and I think they decided the other ending made more sense as far as the relationship and what was true in the book.”
On being aware of the fans when she was cast as Annabeth: “I was aware of the negativity towards my being cast. I hadn’t heard or read the books before I was cast because they were geared toward younger audience but I read the book before I read the screenplay. I think I got a good sense of who Annabeth was through the book and the screenplay. She is a very tough smart girl and that was a lot of fun to play. Even though I wasn’t physically similar to the book Annabeth, I think it’s what’s on the inside that counts and I had a lot of fun playing her and I really respect her as a character.”
On her next project, Hall Pass: “It’s a Farrelly Brothers movie with Owen Wilson and Jenna Fischer. The cast is huge and it’s such an amazing cast. It happened very last minute. I think I got a call and then sort of similar to Percy; I was on a plane in two days and it was great. I even celebrated my birthday with some of the cast. It’s a very, very funny movie with a very talented cast and I think it’s going to be great.”

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: The Lightning Thief is finally out on DVD and Blu-ray!!!
JJJ had the pleasure of chatting with star Alexandra Daddario last week and we got to chatting about the thrill of playing Annabeth Chase.
The 23-year-old actress shared with JJJ, “There really isn’t a lot of opportunity to play a tough, kick-butt character. These huge, amazing fantasy films like Percy Jackson…it’s just an incredible, rare opportunity. I’m very lucky to have been a part of it. I got to have four to five sword fights where I beat up a bunch of boys…that’s a very cool thing to do. I think that’s a sign of her strength and she’s very tough.”
Alexandra continued, “That was one of the main things I loved about her. Combining that strength with intelligence and not letting any kind of social stigma hold her back. She was who she was and it was great. It was empowering. I was even shocked with myself when I pulled it off.”

Alexandra Daddario sparkles in a Bebe sequined jacket in this new shot from Style File Daily.
The 23-year-old actress, who you know from Percy Jackson & The Olympians, dished to Style File on life changing moments, what you’ll always catch her wearing and just why she likes staying in. Check it:
On how she spruces up a daily outfit with just one item: “I’m a dress for comfort kind of girl. Skinny jeans and tees are my daily uniform. It’s [Chanel flap bag] an investment but I literally user it with everything. It makes the rest of an outfit appear more luxe by association.”
On how her life changed in just one plane flight: “Life can change instantly. One day I was putting myself on tape for a lead in a major film, and two weeks later I was on a plane to go to set.”
On leaving the parties for someone else: “I’ll forego partying at a bar to stay in and watch a film that inspires me. I’m focused, but I’m also just a film geek with a sense of humor like Woody Allen’s.
Logan Lerman and Alexandra Daddario step out in style at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheatre at Universal Studios on Sunday (June 6).
The duo were there to find out if Logan, 18 and Jake Abel won best fight. Unfortunately, they didn’t.
Logan shared with MTV prior to the awards that Percy should win that category. He shared, “That was about a month of filming just to do that one sequence. We learned so much. We had to learn how to fly, be in wires and make it look good. Go down rooftops while having to swing at invisible lightning bolts being shot at you. It was a pretty crazy experience and I was completely blown away when I saw it onscreen. I’m so glad it got nominated — and pray that it wins!”
Psst! Stay tuned to JJJ for a Percy Jackson giveaway soon!
