Cody said that the track was inspired by the recent terror attacks around the planet and his “way of expressing his desire for everyone to live freely and without the overhanging fear of war.”
“I’m writing a lot about the development of a growing man,” he added. “Developing your own sort of personal philosophies, ideologies, perspective on the world and everything — just kind of really trying to sort of understand myself. Alli added, “Hard work is another one. He texts me every day to make sure I’m constantly working to better myself, and he’ll always text me before a shoot or before a studio session and just remind me that if I’m staying truthful to me and what I love to do, then it’s all going to be great.”
Cody and Alli Simpson are teaming up with Sexual Abuse Forever Ending (SAFE) for a national social media awareness and fundraising campaign titled “#5for1in5″- A Powerful Movement to End Child Sexual Abuse.
The SAFE #5for1in5 campaign promotes the staggering statistic that one in five people have been sexually abused before their 18th birthday – that’s the 1 in 5.
Contributing just $5 or more will help SAFE fund further research, prevention education curriculum and awareness programs.
SAFE is also asking online constituents to pass on the hashtag to five or more friends – that’s the #5for1in5.

“Taylor swift feels like somewhat of a no-brainer,” James said. “It’s a great album and she has had an enormous year – an enormous two years. It would be entirely deserved.”
He added, “I think It would be exciting as well to see Alabama Shakes take that award. I am a huge fan of the band. They are doing something else, very much their own thing, their own sound, and their own approach. And its a just a great sound, a great album, and they are just great people.”
