The 28-year-old new mommy showed off her new look in a new interview with Glamour mag.
“I have never been a risk taker with my hair. Ever. My entire life I’ve never had hair shorter than my midarm—not even to my shoulders! And color-wise, my hair has pretty much always been blond, maybe a little blonder, or ombré. So considering a change was very nerve-racking,” Allison revealed to the mag about the change.
She continued, “But I really wanted to be daring, and I really wanted a change. And I was obsessed with Sarah Hyland’s hair specifically. It’s so killer. I actually wanted to cut my hair before I found out I was pregnant, then once I found out I decided to wait because I thought, That would probably be the worst thing to do when you’re hormonal. I was worried I’d end up throwing things in my room being like, ‘I hate it! It doesn’t look good on me!’ So I was like, I have to wait until after I have the baby, and I legit did it exactly a week later.”
Allison added about how long it takes her to get ready now, “Easily 10 to 15 minutes. It’s really a dream. Before it used to take me at least an hour to do my hair.”
The 28- and 33-year-old professional dancers each wrote a sweet message on Instagram for their newborn son.
“To Maddox: I promise to love you forever, i will lead, I will teach, i will be strong, I will listen, I will be an example. I will be a shoulder to cry on when u need it, I will have a bandaid ready for when u fall, i will walk you into your first day of school and help u study for ur first test , I won’t help teach u to drive ( leave that to dad, the one that is a good driver) but I will help u pin on ur first prom boutonniere. I will be there for it all and you every step of the way. I AM your mother and that is unconditional and everlasting!” Allisonwrote.
Stephenadded, “I’m amazed every moment by how much his arrival has enriched and deepened the love in the Boss tribe. Maddox we are so proud of everything you are doing from opening your eyes, holding your head up, regularly pissing and pooping (only a parent can love that), and those little moments you smile back at us as we are smiling at you. This world is yours for the taking and equipped with your mother’s beauty, wit, charm, brains, tenacity, and pretty much every good quality—-combined with my ability to make sure you don’t get TOO CRAZY and act like a GENTLEMAN—your life is gonna be amazing with whatever you choose to do with it. We will always have your back because at the end of the day, you are a BOSS! We love you son. From your dedicated and at times will be annoying but always loving -Dad.”
“Our MADDOX is like the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, and a dream of possibilities,” Allison wrote. “My life and our families home is changed forever. He blessed our lives exactly a week ago and it will never be the same again, and he has brought such a beautiful joy with him. We will let every moment sink in and last a lifetime! This is our family, our happiness and our future. WE WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER MADDOX LAUREL BOSS.
Our MADDOX is like the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, and a dream of possibilities. My life and our families…
The 27-year-old and 33-year-old pro dancers welcomed a bouncing baby boy named Maddox Laurel Boss on Sunday (March 27) in Los Angeles.

Julianne Hough dresses in all black while running errands around Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon (February 18).
It was just announced that the 27-year-old actress/dancer will not be returning as a judge on Dancing With The Stars and pro Allison Holker, who is also not returning, is sad about it.
“That makes me very sad because I thought Julianne was doing a fantastic job, and I just love her and I respect her so much as an artist,” Allison shared with ET. “I feel like as a pro she’s someone I kind of strive to be like.”
The 27-year-old professional dancer opened up with the glossy about being pregnant in her Dancing With The Stars costumes, her delivery game and family support. Check it:
On DWTS strategic costuming: “There I was in these itty-bitty costumes, flaunting myself, at four-and-a-half-months pregnant. If you’ve ever been pregnant, you know that even in those first weeks, you have to make frequent trips to the restroom…well, I had to go what felt like 20 times during a show, and I needed three people to help me peel the outfit on and off each time. I couldn’t do it by myself! We joked that my costumes should have been made with strategically placed snaps.”
On her perfect partner in Stephen: “Just last night, at about 12:30 a.m. the baby was moving around so much it felt like he was wrestling a wild animal in my belly. He’s a very active little boy! I’m very fortunate that I have someone who is aware of my feelings and wants to be there for me through the whole thing.”
On a well-rehearsed delivery: “I can’t be sleeping when I go into labor…Who knows? It could turn into a dance party. There may be twerking! (laughs) He’s (Stephen) nervous about a lot of it, because it’s all new to him, but I know he’s going to be an amazing dad. Without a doubt [he's going to be a great father], he and this baby will have a special connection – I know it.”
