Ally Brooke Reveals Fifth Harmony Could've Replaced Camila Cabello, But Chose Not To

Ally Brooke Reveals Fifth Harmony Could've Replaced Camila Cabello, But Chose Not To

Ally Brooke is opening up in her just released book “Finding Your Harmony”!

While the 27-year-old singer said she didn’t want to talk much about the Fifth Harmony drama, she did reveal that they had the chance to replace Camila Cabello.

Camila left the group almost four years ago, and 5H released a shocking message to fans announcing the news.

Now, Ally reveals that there was the option to bring another singer to take the missing spot, but the rest of the girls decided to just keep it as the four of them.

“There were several different options and routes we could’ve taken. There were a lot of different ideas floating around,” she told StyleCaster. “But the four of us decided, ‘Hey. We think it would be odd to all of a sudden bring someone.’ The four of us have a history, and we know what we went through together. We know our journey. We know each other. We felt like there was no question that we should continue on as we were.”

She shared that their management had offered quite a few names and one of them stood out.

“I don’t know if I can share, but one would’ve been really cool,” Ally said. “She’s at the top now, and everybody loves her. I love her. That wasn’t what we felt like would be right for our group, even though we love this other singer, and she’s awesome. She probably wouldn’t have accepted anyways because she probably would’ve said the same thing, like, ‘I don’t know if I should step in here.’ And her career is already blowing up.”

Ally Brooke Didn't Want To Talk About Fifth Harmony Drama In Her Book

Ally Brooke is dishing on why she doesn’t really talk about her Fifth Harmony days in her new book “Finding Your Harmony.”

The 27-year-old singer’s book is out now, and she recently opened up about wanting to focus this book on her personal journey.

“I really wanted this to focus on my personal story,” she told People. “I didn’t want to talk about the drama. I felt like my story and the things that God has done in my life and my family were so important and I didn’t want anything to overshadow that. That was one of the reasons.”

“There’s so much of Fifth Harmony. There are five books you could write,” Ally added. “One day, there’ll eventually be an opportunity to share that if I want, because there is a lot that happened… there definitely will be a part two.”

Ally‘s book “Finding Your Harmony: Dream Big, Have Faith, and Achieve More Than You Can Imagine“ is out in stores now.

Ally Brooke Opens Up About Saving Herself For Marriage: 'I Was Brave To Share That'

Ally Brooke is getting candid in her new book “Finding Your Harmony: Dream Big, Have Faith, and Achieve More Than You Can Imagine“!

The 27-year-old singer opened up in a new interview on writing about her virginity in her book.

“I opened up in my book about [saving myself for marriage]. I was brave to share that. That’s something that I hold dear to my heart. And I hold still to this day,” Ally said on the “Hollywood Raw” podcast. “I was really happy to be able to share that with my fans, and readers and to show them the choice that I made. And have them receive it however they want to receive it. Letting my true heart shine was the goal of this book.”

Ally also opened up about a time when a music executive made sexual advances towards her.

“There was a lot going on in the group and I was dealing with a lot at a certain point. I had asked for outside help and advice,” she said. “I was kinda desperate. I need help please give me advice, I don’ know what to do here and how to get through this and make everything better. Really, I didn’t have much to open me up and much life in me at this point. So I was really looking for help.”

“This music executive was like come meet with me I can help you. Then when I went, he gave me a thong and said, ‘You’d look really good in this,’” Ally continued. “I was completely humiliated, shocked, and disgusted. I didn’t feel like I had any power to do anything about it, because sadly at that time people heard about these things but really didn’t do much.”

“People weren’t being held accountable for their actions. So I just felt so helpless and alone. Just a searing humiliation and even afraid. At the time what could I do? I was just a small girl in a group and all these people had the power.”

Ally‘s memoir “Finding Your Harmony” will be released on October 13th and you can pre-order your copy right here!
