Alycia Debnam-Carey keeps it cute for the Chanel Fine Jewelry Dinner held at The Jewel Box at Bergdorf Goodman on Tuesday night (September 6) in New York City.
The 23-year-old Fear of the Walking Dead actress joined Ellie Bamber for the evening which honored actress Keira Knightley.
“She’s the one person that hasn’t lost as much as everyone else,” Alycia shared recently of her character, Alicia’s quest on the new season. “It’s the first time she’s been able to step into that leadership role. She’s putting down the role of daughter, the role of the child, and proving herself as an equal.”

The 23-year-old actress hit up the party after promoting Fear of the Walking Dead during 2016 San Diego Comic-Con with her co-stars, including Lorenzo Henrie.

Alycia Debnam-Carey shows off her award backstage at the 2016 MTV Fandom Awards held at PETCO Park on Thursday night (July 21) in San Diego, Calif.
The 23-year-old actress accepted the award for Fan Freakout of the Year for the untimely death of Lexa on The 100.
Earlier this year, Alycia opened up about her character’s sudden death on the show and the social outcry.
“I think it was so emotionally overwhelming,” Alycia shared at the time. “The reaction that sparked within people, where I’m reading texts and tweets from people saying, ‘I’m crying and in tears,’ to be able to say you’re a part of that is an amazing thing. I hate thinking people thought it was insensitive, because it was such a beautiful episode for us to shoot as well.”
She added, “I don’t think it was ever intended to aggravate anyone in a social situation. There’s so much love for that character…I hate to hear people wanting to not watch the show anymore for a certain reason like that. I do understand, of course, it’s a social issue.”

The 22-year-old actress joined co-star Colman Domingo at the event where they chatted up the hit AMC show.
Just recently, Alycia opened up about going from playing Lexa on The 100 to Alicia on FTWD.
“To go from playing a character that was so self-assured, so mature beyond her years, and so kick-ass and ruthless to someone who’s quite normal is interesting,” Alycia shared. “Playing normal is hard; especially playing normal that’s not you. The biggest challenge in playing Alicia is trying to make a teenage girl seem fully formed and not the quintessential moody teenager with a quippy, sassy line here and there.”
“Everyone sort of feels alienated at that point, so it’s hard to say whether I felt like that because everyone does or because I was so focused on acting [since the age of 8],” Alycia told Interview mag. “I did go to a performing arts school, so that facilitated my creativity, though I ended up going in a more musical direction.”

On being in Los Angeles: “I hated LA when I first got there. It took about three years for me to like it. LA and America, in general, have this incredible hustle about them. There’s this sense of momentum. In LA, it’s not on the surface. Everything is in the cracks. The restaurant out front will look like this old, boring place and you’ll go inside and it’s this lush, beautifully designed restaurant.”
On red carpet events: “It’s just a whole different world I’ve been exposed to too, where suddenly publicity matters and styling matters and how you present yourself matters, what you say and how you use social media, it’s a huge platform. [The events are] usually a stressful experience … I don’t really have much of a hang of it. My whole philosophy has been to let the work speak for itself, because that’s really what you want to show … But it is completely its own complex world now.”
On not getting the lead role in The Carrie Diaries: “I like that I didn’t do it, because when I was younger I could get that white-knuckle grip of holding onto an idea and not wanting to let it go, but the moment I started to let go and seeing that there are no rules, there’s more flexibility and openness and knowing that if you follow something it creates its own path.”
