There’s an Angry Birds show coming out on Netflix!
The streaming service announced that Angry Birds: Summer Madness will begin streaming in 2021.
The new series sees much-loved birds Red, Bomb and Chuck, as well as a cast of brand new feathered friends, as tween birds at summer camp under the questionable guidance of their counselor Mighty Eagle.
Explosive antics, improbable pranks and crazy summertime adventures see the birds pushing boundaries and breaking all the rules while fending off the brash and obnoxious Pigs on the other side of the lake, who seem hell-bent on causing as much mayhem as possible!
“Angry Birds have been a true phenomenon for kids around the world and we’re excited to bring them home to the nest at Netflix where they will be angrier and bird-ier than ever,” Curtis Lelash, Director of Original Animated Series, Netflix said.

In the followup sequel to the 2016 movie, the flightless angry birds and the scheming green piggies take their beef to the next level.
In the upcoming flick, when a new threat emerges that puts both Bird and Pig Island in danger, Red (Jason Sudeikis), Chuck (Josh Gad), Bomb (Danny McBride), and Mighty Eagle (Peter Dinklage) recruit Chuck’s sister Silver (Rachel Bloom) and team up with pigs Leonard (Bill Hader), his assistant Courtney (Awkwafina), and techpig Garry (Sterling K. Brown) to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely superteam to save their homes.
JoJo Siwa is headed to the big screen – in Angry Birds 2!
The 15-year-old influencer revealed to fans this week that she’d be voicing a character in the upcoming animated movie.
“I’m so excited that I can tell you that I am going to be in The Angry Birds Movie 2! 🐦,” JoJo excitedly announced.
She adds that she’s “playing Jay the cutest little hatchling ever! I can’t wait for you all to see it!”
The movie centers on Red, Chuck, Bomb and Mighty Eagle, who recruit Chuck’s sister Silver and team up with pigs Leonard, his assistant Courtney, and techpig Garry to forge an unsteady truce and form an unlikely superteam to save their homes.
In celebration of the The Angry Birds Movie hitting DVD and Blu-ray today, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is launching a nationwide campaign with the American Heart Association called “Angry Birds, Happy Bodies”!
The initiative is designed to get kids moving and having fun being active. It encourages school-aged kids to get in at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day, as recommended by the AHA, and to make physical activity fun for the whole family.
In events coast-to-coast supporting physical education in schools, Angry Birds characters Red, Chuck, and Bomb will join AHA’s remarkable “jump teams” to have students will participate in jump rope challenges that can be a part of their daily fitness routines.
