AnnaSophia Robb is literally painting the town red in her two chic outfits as she promotes her new movie, Down a Dark Hall, in New York City on Thursday (August 16).
The 24-year-old actress stopped by Good Day New York and Build Series to chat about her new thriller flick, which is out in select theaters this weekend.
AnnaSophia opened up about how she had to go to the hospital after filming one intense scene because she ran into one of the cameras.
“The camera was running behind me, and I light a lot of the movie with the flashlight,” she started to explain. “It’s really intense and I have to hit all these different marks to make sure the camera can see it, and I missed one.”
AnnaSophia continues, “I stopped and turned around, but the camera kept going and got me right in the head.”

The 24-year-old actress recently opened up in a new interview about her new movie, Down A Dark Hall, in which she actually learned how to play piano.
“One of the big draws for doing this movie, truth be told, was learning how to play piano,” she shared. “…I’m going to continue though. I practiced a lot and I had two fantastic piano instructors. I love the instrument now.”
AnnaSophia adds that she even “had a piano in my dressing and I’d be listening to the music, doing fingering exercises, and learning the keys. It was a lot of fun.”
Down a Dark Hall hits select theaters on Friday, August 17th.

The movie centers on Kit (Robb), a difficult young girl who is sent to the mysterious Blackwood Boarding School when her heated temper becomes too much for her mother to handle.
Once she arrives at Blackwood, Kit encounters eccentric headmistress Madame Duret (Uma Thurman) and meets the school’s only other students, four young women also headed down a troubled path.
While exploring the labyrinthine corridors of the school, Kit and her classmates discover that Blackwood Manor hides an age-old secret rooted in the paranormal.

AnnaSophia has been enrolled at the Gallatin school since 2014 and just wrapped up studies today with the ceremony held at Yankee Stadium. During her time there, she also starred in PBS’ Mercy Street and a few other movies.

If you remember, AnnaSophia starred as Bethany in the 2011 film, Soul Surfer, which is based off of Bethany‘s comeback just after losing her arm in a tiger shark attack.
The 24-year-old actress will star alongside Charlie Plummer and Taylor Russell in the flick, which is based on Julia Walton’s debut novel.
The movie will center on Adam (Plummer), a high schooler living with paranoid schizophrenia and battling wild hallucinations. Luckily, an experimental drug trial promises to help hide his illness from his peers and most importantly from Maya, the girl of his dreams.
AnnaSophia will take on the role of Rebecca, one of the main characters in Adam’s hallucinations who acts as a conduit for the feelings that he cannot express.
