'Arrow' Previews Emily Bett Rickards Final Episode: 'It's Really Emotional'

Be ready with your tissues everyone, because, as expected, Emily Bett Rickards‘ final episode is going to be a doozy.

Juliana Harkavy aka Dinah chatted with TVLine about the shows’ penultimate episode, which says goodbye to Felicity Smoak.

“[It's] very exciting, and really emotional,” she shared.

Showrunner Beth Schwartz adds that “almost everyone who read it was in tears.”

With the finale, which is described as insane and huge, is two finales-in-one: The flash-forward characters “have their own finale, which will be pretty large,” all adding up to an episode that is “extremely unique. It definitely propels you into Season 8.”

Stay tuned for a sneak peek at tonight’s all-new Arrow ep.

Stephen Amell & Grant Gustin Landed Their 'Arrow' & 'Flash' Roles on First Audition!

Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin were destined to be Oliver Queen and Barry Allen!

The actors snagged their respective Arrow and The Flash roles on their very first auditions, casting director David Rapaport revealed a new interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“They said to me, ‘We want someone that looks like a superhero and can act,’” David recalled about Stephen. “I had just cast Stephen in a guest spot on 90210, and it was a pretty dramatic role. He had the muscles and that kind of dark mysterious look behind his eyes, so he was the first person I thought of when I read the Arrow script.”

For The Flash, David said, “We were looking for someone who was relatable, someone that was an Everyman who was bestowed with superpowers—someone a little bit goofy. But every time I met Grant, he seemed like this affable, dorky, charming, fun dude. He was the first person I auditioned for the role. We read him opposite [Arrow’s] Emily Bett Rickards, and there was amazing chemistry there.”

However, Laurel rebuffs all her efforts, forcing the former friends to face off against each other.

Arrow airs TONIGHT, April 15th @ 9PM ET/PT on The CW.
