The Frozen actor dished on the similarities between the upcoming Disney+ movie and Harry Potter.
“I’m obsessed with Harry Potter,” he told Bustle. “There hasn’t been a Harry Potter in a long time. A new Harry Potter. This feels like the answer to that.”
Josh said he sees Artemis as “the antithesis to Harry.”
“Artemis starts almost at the end of Harry’s journey,” he explains. “He’s very manipulative.”
Josh also shared how the world of Artemis Fowl “speaks to a crowd and an audience that is desperately longing for something to fill that [Harry Potter] void.”
To celebrate National Streaming Day, Disney+ has debuted a new clip from the upcoming movie.

In order to pay his ransom, Artemis must infiltrate an ancient, underground civilization – the amazingly advanced world of fairies—and bring the kidnapper the Aculos, the fairies’ most powerful and coveted magical device.
Movie theaters around the country are shut down right now, so Disney has decided to put the movie Artemis Fowl directly on Disney+ instead of delaying the release any further.

The film is – an adaptation of the best-selling book by Eoin Colfer – was originally going to be released on May 29 before the coronavirus led to movie theaters closing and premieres getting canceled.
