On-screen lovers Kay Panabaker and Asher Book stick close together as they attend a screening of their new movie, Fame, at Paris Las Vegas Hotel and Casino on Thursday night (September 24).
Kay, 19, recently dished to Cinema Blend about the retelling of the original 1980 musical. She shared, “It was so much fun [working with an ensemble cast]. Given that it was such a big film both in the 80s and now, we really wanted to work really hard to make it such a good film but since we worked so hard I think we also kind of let ourselves play hard.
She continued, “Like, on the weekends we would hang out, we’d go bowling, we’d go out to dinner, just get to know each other because the strong point of this film is these characters have created such great friendships and relationships that we needed to build them offset as well as onset so that it would just be more believable.”

V Factory shows off their moves as they perform at a free concert before the premiere of Fame held at The Grove in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening (September 23).
Jared Murillo, Nicky T, Nathaniel Flatt and Wesley Quinn showed up to support their band mate and Fame lead Asher Book, who stars as Marco in the flick.
Nathaniel‘s advice after seeing the flick, “Fame is great. Go see it.”

Birthday boy Asher Book takes a big bite out of a cupcake from Crumb Bake Shop at the 2009 VH1 Divas after party held at One Hanson Place in NYC on Thursday night (September 17).
Joined by Fame costars Anna Maria Perez de Tagle, Kherington Payne, Walter Perez and Naturi Naughton, Asher turned 21 at the celebration.
Asher tweeted, “Thanks so much to everyone tonight I had the best night u all are to thank! Ha I still can’t believe I’m 21! Much love tonight was amazing!”

Asher Book keeps close to his mom Holly as they attend the G-Star Raw Spring/Summer 2010 Fashion Show held at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Tuesday night (September 15) in NYC.
JustJaredJr.com caught up with the 20-year-old star at the event to chat about the happenings around New York this week. Check it:
On loving fashion week: “I love it! And honestly, I don’t just say this, but the G-Star clothing is really cool. It’s just very slick and Euro and I like it. It’s fun to wear. I’ve been so busy with press for Fame that I haven’t had time (to attend any others)! This is one that I wanted to make sure to have happen ’cause I just love the clothing, so we’ll see if we have time to make it. But it was cool to bring my mom out tonight.”
On attending the MTV VMAs: “The VMAs was the best experience of my life. To be in the room with people I’ve looked up to since I was little was pretty cool, just to be sitting next to those people. The whole show was fun overall. And Wesley [Quinn] performed! He did MJ tribute! He was in the front wearing the white, killing it!”
On his reaction to Kayne West interrupting Taylor Swift: “I was shocked – I didn’t know what he was going to do! And, of course, in my mind, I thought Beyonce should’ve won the video, but I think he way he did it was very disrespectful and she deserved more than that – this is her time to shine. She’s so young, sweet, her music’s great. I think his apology was genuine and he needed to do something like that, but things happen, so…right, exactly [she had won video of the year] – she wins so many awards and I just wanted her to shine ’cause she really deserved it. It’s all good. In the end, she took it the right way.”
Asher also stopped off at the outdoor screening of Pink Panther 2 with Fame costar Walter Perez and he also attended 2009 VH1 Divas cocktail party on Wednesday night (September 16).

Kherington Payne keep close together as they leave BBC Radio Two studios in London on Thursday morning (September 10).
Asher, 20, has been really excited about the trip. He tweeted, “Can’t believe I’m goin to London today! I’m so excited! This month has been crazy! On my way to the airport damn just got picked up in the dopest bmw ha London here I come! Virgin first class is rediculus!Ifeel like I’m at a night club it’s the coolest thing ever haha wit my girls @naturinaughton and Kerrington [sic].”
Naturi also tweeted from the capital city, relieved to be done for the day. She shared, “Finally done with the long day! Heading to Buckingham Palace! Hello to the Queen of England!:) This is soo cool!”
Kherington and Naturi will join costars Anna Maria Perez de Tagle and Walter Perez and present at VH1′s Divas on September 17th @ 9PM ET/PT on VH1.
Paul McGill hangs around on costar Collins Pennie as they attend the premiere of The Final Destination at Mann’s Village Theatre in Los Angeles last week.
The duo were joined by most of the rest of the Fame cast: Asher Book, Naturi Naughton, Walter Perez and Kristy Flores.
Earlier last week, Paul also attended the Kenneth Cole Awearness & Feed Projects Celebrate The Feed Health Backpack at Living Homes Santa Monica in Santa Monica, Calif.
