The cast even included the show’s creators Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert in the reunion!
“Sunday funday w/ the OG’s,” Raini wrote on her Instagram, along with a photo of the group.
While we don’t know what the entire Austin & Ally crew was doing back together, we can only hope that they’re planning an epic project that will bring everyone back together!
“Joleen and I started doing library sync and promo stuff. When I was 16, I would hear my songs on The Hills and promos for The Viewit was awesome,” Julia shared.
She actually found out that the track was chosen as Austin & Ally‘s theme song when she was in math class.
“Happy 6 year anniversary to everyone who helped make Austin and Ally one of the most special experiences of my life….it’s crazy it’s been 6 years!!!!” Laura wrote on her Twitter.
Raini added, “Happy #6YearsofAustinandAlly to every single person who has made the show what it is today. The 4 seasons on A&A was a highlight of my life! Thank you @Pickle_Pancakes for giving me the best job ever <3 love you, @rossR5 @lauramarano @CalumWorthy"
Finally, Calum reflected on the night the show premiered.
“6 years ago today we all huddled around a TV in the production office watching our 1st episode. We didn’t know if we would be picked up or if anyone would even watch it. What we DID know is we were a part of something special. Thanks @Pickle_Pancakes for casting me as your Dez,” Calum wrote.
Austin & Ally ended at the beginning of 2016, with a flash forward to a 10 Years later timeline.
Ross Lynch recently spoke about a more mature reunion with the characters that actually happens 10 years in the future, and Raini Rodriguez is here for it too.
“I would love to do a reunion,” Rainishared over the weekend. “When we were on the show, we would always joke that ‘Oh, let’s come back in 10 Years and do a reunion on HBO.”
Raini adds, “We would be adults and I would be in my 30s…I’d absolutely love to do it. The characters were awesome, the chemistry we had is something you don’t see or feel often.”
Over the past week, the former Austin & Ally actor not only reunited with Raini Rodriguez at game 7 of the World Series game (her team won, not his), but also caught up with Ross Lynch ahead of checking out a screening of his new movie, My Friend Dahmer.
“This is what it looks like when you see your friends and their cheering for the other team…. Congratulations to @rainydaychatter @starringrico & @johnpaulgreen! The #Astros are one hell of a team. #worldseries,” Calum captioned his first reunion with Raini.
He added later, before catching up with Ross: “I’ve known Ross for a long time but tonight I forgot I was watching him and truly believed I was watching Jeffrey Dahmer. His performance is both captivating and inspiring. Please go see ‘My Friend Dahmer’.”
All we’re wondering now is just where was Laura Marano when all this was happening?
When we all imagine an Austin & Ally reunion or reboot of any kind, we think of a big blockbuster movie, yes? YES!
However, it looks like the cast has some other ideas.
Ross Lynch, who played Austin Moon on the series, spoke to ET recently about a possible reboot and he’s envisioning something much more…”explicit”.
“We had this joke for a long time on Austin & Ally where we wanted to do like maybe 10 years later, an HBO special where it’s gone completely explicit,” Ross shared. “But we’ll see.”
He adds, “Honestly, I would be totally down to do that. I really love all those people, they’re all really good people.”
“That was like a joke when we were filming but anything’s possible at this point,” Ross adds.
Anyone else down for the “Austin & Ally: Where Are They Now?” HBO special?
We’ve been without Austin & Ally for quite a while now and the latest reunion just made us miss it even more.
Raini Rodriguez and John Paul Green, who played Trish and Chuck McCoy on the Disney Channel series, just reunited at game two of the 2017 World Series between the LA Dodgers and Houston Astros.
“I guess all it took was the Astros making it to the #WorldSeries, to reunite America’s favorite tv couple,” Raini captioned their reunion pic on her Instagram.
And yes, they’re both Astros fans — like Trish would tolerate Chuck wearing a Dodgers jersey at all. LOL!
