Throughout the upcoming season, and in the wake of Jenna’s (Ashley Rickards) romance with Collin (Nolan Gerard Funk), she begins to question the stability of her relationship with Matty (Beau Mircoff), and whether her straying is a sign of something deeper.
But after a surprise public kiss shakes her world there is no going back. One mistake will make things awkward-er than ever, and Jenna’s personality makeover will leave her friends and family wondering who this new Jenna is.
JJJ recently asked Molly Tarlov if Matty could ever forgive Jenna for cheating, and she told us, “It it was like 20 years later and they saw each other, and she had grown up.” LOL! We can’t wait to see what happens!

The ladies were joined by their Awkward cast mates Brett Davern, Jessica Lu, Greer Grammer, Nikki Deloach, and Desi Lydic.

“I think that depends on Jenna,” Molly told JJJ about how long the anti-Jenna tirade will last in the wake of her cheating on Matty. “I think we’ve just seen the tip of the iceberg. You can see in the preview, she kind of spirals down a dark path.”

Mark your calendars – Awkward is returning this fall!
MTV just announced that the rest of season three is set to start airing on Tuesday, Oct. 22! We can’t wait!
In case you need a quick catch-up, Jenna (Ashley Rickards) kissed Colin (Nolan Gerard Funk) in the finale, even though she’s still very much Matty’s (Beau Mirchoff) girlfriend.
According to the trailer, we see that Jenna starts to lose her friends when the show comes back, as she continues to cover up her lies.
It was also recently announced that the show was renewed for a fourth season.

Deadline reports that the additional season is now underway since signing on Chris Alberghini and Mike Chessler as new showrunners.
Awkward follows an unpopular 15 year old (Ashley Rickards) who gains immediate, yet unwanted, popularity at her high school when the student body mistakes an accident she has for a suicide attempt.
Jillian Rose Reed, Jessica Lu, Molly Tarlov, Greer Grammer, Brett Davern and Beau Mirchoff also star.
The second half of season 3 is set to return later this year on MTV.

This season, Jenna (Ashley Rickards) looks ahead to life after high school and a classmate’s death prompts her to be more reflective and responsible.

Jillian Rose Reed stuns on the red carpet at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards held at Sony Pictures Studios on Sunday (April 14) in Los Angeles.
The 21-year-old actress joined her Awkward cast mates Jessica Lu, Brett Davern and new addition, Nolan Gerard Funk.
“I think Colin’s going to suprise everybody,” Nolan told us on the carpet about his character. “It’s not what you expect. He’s well-traveled and he comes from a really different background than these kids. He’s going to stir some stuff up.”
Awkward premieres April 16th on MTV!
