Vanessa Hudgens looks pretty in a purple Plastic Island dress as she arrives at The Today Show on Tuesday morning (August 4) in NYC.
The 20-year-old actress chatted with the hosts about her character in her upcoming movie, Bandslam. She shared, “She’s very introverted, very dead-panned and has a number in her name, so she’s doing her own thing.”

Mike shared exclusively with us, “I was finishing my song and Vanessa thought I was almost done and made a motion to begin clapping. When I realized she thought the song was almost done, I continued playing the guitar, looked at her and said with a big smile on my face ‘Just one more minute Vanessa.’
He continued, “Vanessa turned a beautiful shade of pink and began to laugh as did the audience. A precious moment I will not soon forget!”

The 20-year-old Bandslam beauty continued to promote her upcoming flick, which opens in theaters on Friday, August 14th. When asked what she would be doing if she wasn’t an actress or musician, she replied, “I think Alyson Michalka would’ve become an interior designer. I would be like, ‘Oh, I think that sofa would fit in there, let’s just shove it in.’ I’m just guessing!”
Aly also dished a bit about starting out with Disney, saying, “Being with Disney was a great launching pad for my career. But I think it’s important to just be yourself and be an individual. I don’t think I’m quite as squeaky clean as some of the kids are, not in a bad way, just in a way that I speak my mind about what I have to say. Some people are kind of sensitive, like I’m censored somewhat. But I think it’s good to have an opinion and not be like a robot.”

The 20-year-old actor, alongside Bandslam costar Vanessa Hudgens, attended a private screening of their new flick while at the meet-and-greet.
JJJ reader Liz writes to us about the event, saying, “The movie was to come on at 1:30, but they pushed it back to 2:00. Then once we got in the theaters we waited even longer. They couldn’t play the movie until Vanessa and Gaelan introduced it, not sure what took them so long. It was a long wait, but defiantly worth it, Bandslam was AMAZING!”

The duo judged and picked a lucky winner during the competition. The winner also recieved a private meet-and-greet and photo shoot with Vanessa and Gaelan, plus a private vocal coaching session, and a guaranteed spot on the Emmy Award Winning Community Auditions Star of the Day. WOW!

BFF sisters Aly and AJ Michalka keep close together as they leave their London hotel on Wednesday afternoon (July 29).
The 78violet band members are in Europe to promote Aly‘s new flick, Bandslam. She recently tweeted, “Headed to the liberty in romford tomorrow to judge another Bandslam comp. I’ll be there at 3pm london time so come down and say hi. Wow, at the most incredible restaurant, I literally feel like I’m in a Tim Burton film, where’s Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter?
