Demi Lovato had such an eventful night Tuesday (April 25)! Not only was she honored as one of Time‘s 100 Most Influential People for her mental health advocacy, she also ended the evening with a new bit of body art.
Demi traded her stunning deep blue gown for a casual tee and went to popular celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang for some fresh ink — an enormous lion on her left hand!
Of course, being Demi, she documented the entire event on Snapchat, keeping viewers in the lurch until she finally debuted the final product. The lion takes up her entire hand (starting at her knuckles), and is a gorgeous addition to her 20 other tattoos.
Bang Bang instagrammed the final art.
“Sometimes the canvas makes the art ;) Thank you for your trust,” he captioned the photo.
Apparently, some people began to draw parallels between Demi‘s new tat and those of other celebrities (Justin Bieber and Cara Delevigne also have lion tattoos), because Demi tweeted soon after that she hasn’t “copied” anyone.
“You can’t get a tattoo these days without someone saying you’ve copied someone or you’re ‘matching’ someone,” she tweeted, “That’s not the case folks.”
