Marcus Scribner is opening up about switching from black-ish to grown-ish!
The 22-year-old actor joined the Freeform series cast as a regular, following the end of the ABC flagship series.
On Wednesday night (July 13), Marcus made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with his TV dad Anthony Anderson as the guest host.
Anthony asked him about how it was going for him, and Marcus revealed one major difference about working on each show.

The series is coming to an end TONIGHT (April 19) after eight seasons and 175 episodes on ABC.

The cast of the hit ABC series were on hand to talk about the show’s final season, which is currently underway on the network.
While black-ish is coming to an end after eight seasons, grown-ish was recently renewed for a fifth season on Freeform, with Marcus joining the cast full time. Find out who else will be back for the new season!

The “ish” universe is coming to Disney+!
It was just announced on Tuesday (February 8) that both black-ish and it’s Freeform spinoff grown-ish will be heading to the streaming service.
The two shows will join the Celebrate Black Stories collection, which aims to amplify Black stories on Disney+ all year long.

The ABC series will end it’s run after the upcoming season, saying goodbye to the Johnson family.
Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Laurence Fishburne, Jenifer Lewis, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Marsai Martin and Miles Brown have been on the show since the very beginning, when it premiered in 2014.

Late last week it was revealed that Black-ish will be ending after season eight.
While this is some sad news for fans of the hit comedy, the stars have shared some sweet messages for fans.
Marcus Scribner, Marsai Martin and Miles Brown have been starring on the series from the beginning as Johnson kids, Andre Jr, and twins Jack and Diane.
Yara Shahidi of course has also been starring as the eldest sibling Zoey, but took a step back from being a series regular on Black-ish to lead her own spinoff, grown-ish. They also have a younger sibling Devante, who appears sporadically throughout the episodes.
