We’re sad to report that Brandon Smith will not be returning to ABC’s Skating With The Stars.
The 21-year-old actor’s rep confirms to JustJaredJr.com, “Brandon Mychal Smith will not be skating tonight and will be departing from the show due to illness. While he was able to return to practice last week after being taken to the hospital for a stomach virus, the show’s sponsored doctor has advised him that he should not skate tonight as he is still sick.”
While Brandon is said, he doesn’t want to put partner Keauna McLaughlin, himself, or the show at any risk.

“Shake It Up New Year’s” premieres Friday, December 31 @ 6PM ET/PT on Disney Channel.
Also, Radio Disney will air a one-hour special on New Year’s Day (January 1), counting down the Top 10 Disney Channel videos of 2010, hosted by on-air personalities Jake Whetter and Hallie Ashford. It all starts @ 9AMPT/12AMET on Radio Disney.

The 21-year-old Sonny actor is skating with pro Keauna McLaughlin, a former U.S. National Champion.
Brandon has been tweeting about his practices a lot lately and calling himself BlackQuan [sic]: “#SkatingWithTheStars practice today was great!Lets go #teamBrandon yeah everybody get ready for #BlackQuan.Im michelle quans little bro haha”
Brandon and Keauna will make their skating debut NEXT WEEK in front of a live audience on Monday, November 22 @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

Brandon Smith is opening up about costar Demi Lovato‘s news that she was checking into a treatment center for emotional and physical issues.
The 21-year-old Sonny with a Chance star shared with ET, “If there’s anything that’s being portrayed in the media as problematic, it probably isn’t. This industry is very brutal and occasionally you just need to take 20 or 30 minutes to yourself. My family comes over every Sunday. We do Taco Night and I bring all my close friends… That’s kind of like the reset portion of my life.”
Brandon added, “I applaud her for actually having the maturity to let them know, ‘Hey, I need my space.’”
Brandon was just announced as one of the six celebs on the roster for ABC’s upcoming Skating with the Stars.

The new series is just like Dancing With The Stars, only on ice!
Brandon joins five other celebs on the ice — Rebecca Budwig, Bethenny Frankel, Jonny Moseley, Vince Neil and Sean Young.
All six couples will take to the ice with their professional partners for the first time in front
of a live audience in just TWO WEEKS — Monday, November 22nd.
Couples will need to be perfectly in sync, since the ice is unforgiving of even the smallest mistake. The couple with the lowest ranking following the judges’ scores and the public’s votes will be sent home the following week.

Sketches include “A Jonas for Christmas,” “The 12 Days of Sickmas with Sicky Vicky,” “Holiday Cooking with Roadkill McGill” and “Christmas with the Real Princesses of New Jersey.”

In the upcoming episode “Sonny With A Kiss,” When revealed in an interview that they have yet to share a kiss, Sonny (Lovato) and Chad (Sterling Knight) start to feel pressured by their friends and fans to make it happen. This leads to Sonny questioning her relationship and chemistry with Chad, wondering if they should break up.
Meanwhile, Nico (Brandon Smith) and Grady (Doug Brochu) believe their temporary dressing room is haunted when they hear odd noises.
